Golf Cart Safety Laws Reinforced On The Island

In February of this year, Holmes Beach Commissioners approved an amended ordinance that requires golf carts have seat-belts and car seat functionality for children. In addition golf carts will not be permitted on roads that have a speed limit of 25 or higher. LSV- Low Speed Vehicles like our Polaris GEM Cars do not have to adhere to the 25 mph rule. Our GEM cars also come standard with seatbelts, so we’re covered there too! Golf Carts & LSV’s are not allowed on beach accesses, boardwalks, bike lanes, or sidewalks.
